January Guelph Service Bulletin
Although we have held prices steady for several years, we are planning to make some adjustments in 2017. We strive to reduce costs and optimize efficiency wherever possible, however external circumstances and supply costs do necessitate occasional adjustment. New price lists will be available in January, reflecting the new prices taking effect February 2nd, 2017. Please contact us for more information.
The winter months often offer the first chance for growers to review their soil test reports and yield maps. If it is found that some fields required updated soil samples, contact us to schedule custom soil sampling. Remaining soil from analyzed soil samples are kept at the laboratory for a minimum of 3 months, should any additional testing be necessary, such as adding micronutrients to your testing order. If additional testing is required to existing samples, please contact us and we'll be happy to modify your order.
Nutrient dollar values have been updated on our manure analysis report, to better reflect market conditions. The current values are $0.40 for N, $0.65 for P2O5, and $0.40 for K2O. Knowing the value of the manure compared to commercial fertilizer assists with the calculation of a break-even hauling distance and is beneficial for those trading or selling manure as a nutrient source.
