CORN SILAGE TESTING RECOMMENDATIONS
Persistent rain and wet conditions have contributed to uneven crop growth across many fields. Once one-third milk line has been achieved, monitoring whole plant moisture may be advantageous. The importance of nutritional testing is heightened when silage crops are variable in maturity due to weather conditions.
A year such as this emphasizes the importance of drainage, crop rotation, organic matter and nutrient levels on the evenness of crop growth. Contact us for more information on our services and how we can be of assistance to your business.
SAMPLE SHIPPING TIPS
For those customers who utilize our preferred shipping rates with Purolator, please see the following tips below, which save on costs and allow us to pass on the reduced shipping fees to our clients:
- Early delivery : Do NOT check off "Early Delivery" options, as we are the first stop on Purolator’s route and arrival prior to 9 am is routine.
- Use boxes : Boxes that are shipped with a waybill affixed usually have no additional charges; Puropaks and Puroboxes are charged a premium.
- Liquids: A description of ‘Lab Samples’ is sufficient; if "liquid" is mentioned, a special handling charge or dangerous goods fee is automatically added.
